Abstract

The invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the composition of compact material for ladle treatment of cast-iron. A compact material for ladle treatment of cast-iron includes the powderlike filling agent closed in a steel casing which is a core from slag-metal components, containing magnesium and carbon material, the iron graphite blast-furnace waste - foam at the following ratio of components: magnesium : foam = (0.05-0.1):1 is used as carbon material. The invention provides the increasing of degree of the use of magnesium during desulfurization and deoxidation of liquid cast-iron in a ladle and using of wastes of blast-furnace production in the composition of the compact-material.
