Abstract
A magnetic separator contains a fixed magnetic system from permanent magnets located inside a nonmagnetic drum installed with possibility of rotation in a bath, a drive, a feeder and receivers of separation products. For the purpose of increase of extraction of magnetic product by its retention by magnetic field on the drum surface, between the poles of permanent magnets plates from soft magnetic material are located. On the surface of drum groves are made in parallel to its axis. In the grooves strips from soft magnetic material are fixed, which come out inside and outside the drum. The pitch of grooves is multiple to the pitch of the plates located between the poles of permanent magnets.
