Abstract

A device for horizontal continuous casting of the billets of round cross section of nonferrous metals and alloys contains a water-cooled metal casing and a graphite crystallizer installed therein, in main uncooled part of which a partition with channel for supplying the metal is installed. The channel for supplying the metal in the cross section is made in the form of a segment and is formed by lower surface of partition and working cavity of crystallizer. The height of segment makes 0.03-0.30 of internal diameter of crystallizer.
