Abstract

A method of preparing active carbon fiber fabric includes : (A) supplying polynosic rayon fabric; (B) treating the polynosic rayon fabric with flame resistant agent by impregnating it in water solution of Ammonium Sulfate with the ratio of 3~9 % and Diammonium Hydrogen Phosphate with the ratio of 1~7% under room temperature for 10 minutes to 48 hours and then drying it; (C) undergoing high-temperature oxidation process by placing the polynosic rayon fabric which was treated with flame resistant agent in steady increasing temperature condition to undergo oxidation and obtaining oxidized fabric with the final treatment temperature between 270~350 deg.C; (D) treating the oxidized fabric under Nitrogen to undergo high temperature carbonation and activation processes, and continuing such high temperature activation treatment under at least one active gaseous body of either steam or oxygen with steady rising temperature finally reaching 850~950 deg.C to obtain crude product of active carbon fiber fabric; (E) washing the crude active carbon fiber fabric by placing it in Hydrochloride solution and bringing it to boiling point to remove impurities and then washing it with water to remove the residue to obtain carbon active fiber fabric.
