Abstract

Provided are a polarization plate, a method of manufacturing the same, and a liquid crystal display including the same. The method includes: (S1) preparing a coating solution including a low molecular weight photo-curable acrylate resin and a photo-initiator; (S2) coating the coating solution on a surface or both surfaces of a polyvinyl alcohol polarization film to form a coating layer; and (S3) irradiating ultraviolet light onto the coating layer. According to the method, a lightweight and thin polarization plate can be manufactured in an easy and cost-effective manner. A polarization plate manufactured using the method shows a good adhesion between a polarization film and a protective film formed on a surface of the polarization film and is excellent in physical properties such as light transmittance, degree of polarization, and hardness.
