Abstract
The present invention disclosed a fluid driving device, comprising a microchannel provided on a substrate, which microchannel has a plasma reformed surface to function as fluid guiding area, and electrowetting-based valve provided adjacent to said fluid guiding area. When a current is supplied to the electrowetting valve, surface of the hydrophobic microchannel will be converted into hydrophilic, whereby microfluid may flow through the wlectrowetting valve. The present invention is useful in guiding organic reagents to move along the microchannel, whereby hydrophobic reactions, such DNA reactions, may take place in the microchannel. This invention also disclosed method for preparation of the fluid driving device of this ivnetion.
