Description

A method is known for producing sodium sulfate from mirabilite-glass by dissolving the latter in circulating lye and ammonizing the solution obtained.

6318-68.The product obtained by this method has a high content of calcium sulfate (0.48%) and chlorides (0.39%), which does not allow to classify the product to the highest grade according to GOST 6318-68.

In order to improve the quality of the target product, a method has been proposed by which a 13-16% soda ash solution is introduced into the mixture during the dissolution of mirabilite glass in working solutions.

The consumption of anhydrous soda ash is 10–15 kg per ton of mirabilite glass.

The proposed method makes it possible to reduce the calcium sulfate impurity to 0.02% and NaCl to 0.14% in the finished product and bring it up to standard quality.

Example: 200 g of crushed myrabilites are dissolved in 108.7 g of circulating liquor (washing liquid), 48.3 g of water and 15.1 g of a 13% soda solution. After dissolving, 6.0 g of a 0.25% solution of n-acrylamide is added to the resulting pulp and the insoluble precipitate is separated by settling.

The clarified liquor is evaporated or ammoniated to obtain the finished product.

Дл  уменьшени  потерь полезного компонента отделенцьп при отстаипаю и шлам промывают водой и полученную промывную воду направл ют на растворение мирабилита-стеклеца .In order to reduce the loss of the useful component, the separation at the time of settling and the sludge is washed with water and the resulting wash water is directed to the dissolution of the mirabilite glass.

Оз нет (по ГОСТу 0,01%).After filtration, and the soils are obtained a product that fully meets the requirements of GOST 6318-68 for the highest grade sodium sulfate. The composition of the obtained product (in%): Na-.SOj 99.72 (according to GOST 99.3), NaCl 14 (according to GOST 0.2), CaSOi 0.02 (according to GOST 0.05), NajCO .; 0.12 (GOST is not standardized) insoluble precipitate - no (according to GOST 0.5), Re.OZ no (according to GOST 0.01%).
