Способ переработки окисленных никелевых руд, включающий расплавление, восстановление и сульфидирование шихты, состоящей из руды, сульфидизатора, топлива, восстановителя и флюсов, с подачей дутья и с получением штейна и шлака, отличающийся тем, что, с целью удешевления процесса, увеличения межремонтной кампании конвертеров за счет получения штейна с высоким содержанием серы и никеля, а шлака с низким содержанием никеля и кобальта, расплавление шихты, восстановление и сульфидирование расплава ведут в шлаке при 1250 - 1440C при подаче в него дутья и сульфидизатора и при противоточном движении штейна и шлака.2. Способ по п.1, отличающийся тем, что в качестве топливовосстановителя используют уголь.1.
