Abstract

1455504 Marine propellers STONE MANGANESE MARINE Ltd 10 Feb 1975 [15 Feb 1974] 7415/74 Heading B7V A marine propeller shaft 1 has formed integrally with it a hollow cylindrical hub 2 for the attachment of separate propeller blades which have palms 3 seated on the external surface of the hub. The palms are attached by studs 5 which extend through the hub into the palms and are secured from inside the hub. In the embodiment shown annular plate 13 with collar 14 and circular plate 16 give protection against sea water and corrosion-resistant sealing strips 18, Fig. 2 (not shown) seal the gaps between the blade palms.
