A dispenser for shaving units 21, each of which comprises a razor blade permanently secured in a rigid member, includes, in the form shown, a series of inclined flexible tongues 24a attached to a side wall 25, between which one end of each of the units 21 is supported, retained by the engagement of projections 24al in channels 21a in the rigid members of the units. The dispenser has a second set of tongues (24b), Fig. 10 (not shown), to support the other ends of the units, and a central space (26) is provided so that the units can be engaged by a handle and lifted out of the dispenser for use. Used units 22, Fig. 11, are inserted into the space 23 below the tongues 24a, being retained there by resilient flaps 27. In another form the dispenser consists simply of a flat rectangular tube (14), Fig. 8 (not shown), through which the shaving units may be pushed, engagement of the units by a handle being permitted by the cutting away of the upper and lower walls (14b, 14c) respectively at the delivery end. Insertion of used units into the opposite end is facilitated by a similar cutting away of the walls. Flexible detents (14a) in the side walls allow movement of the units only in the delivery direction. In a further embodiment the dipenser is open at the top, the shaving units (30), Fig. 15 (not shown), being stacked on end and urged towards the delivery position by a spring (35). Flanges (31b1) on the side walls (31b) of the dispenser retain the units therein, the flanges ending just before the delivery position so that the units can be engaged by a head (32a) on a handle (32), and lifted vertically from the dispenser. Used units are retained by detents (31e) on the side walls, cam surfaces (31c) on the flanges (31b1) being provided to facilitate discharge of the used units from the razor handle. A step (31d) is also provided for the same purpose. Further embodiments of dispenser are described in which the selected shaving unit may be removed by transverse movement in a slot, the tension exerted by the handle on the unit overcoming a light friction or pinch grip in the slot. Used units may be deposited in the dispenser by sideways movement of the handle relative to the dispenser, the used unit being retained by a side wall of the dispenser. All forms of the dispenser may be made of a plastics material.
