Claims (9)

crushing and screening of air-cooled blast furnace slag in order to obtain particles mainly with a diameter of up to 51 mm, and
adding a certain amount of the specified crushed and screened blast furnace slag to the specified flow of charge material in the specified loading end of the furnace so that as the charge material and blast furnace slag move towards the specified heating end of the furnace, the blast furnace slag melts under the influence of the specified heat and diffuses into the charge material forming a cement clinker.
