Abstract

FIELD: veterinary virology. SUBSTANCE: new strain Paramyxovirus GAM-61 VGNKI exhibiting decreased reactivity and high immunity is used for preparing vaccine against Newcastle disease in hens. Strain is deposited in Collection of viruses and microorganisms VGNKI of veterinary preparations at N GAM-61. Vaccine prepared from the strain Paramyxovirus GAM-61 VGNKI is harmless for chickens (1-60 days age). Safety of egg strain chickens and chicken-broilers is an average 99.3% and 83.0%, respectively. Mean geometric antibody titer in blood serum of these chicken strains is 7.6 logand 6.4 log., respectively. Vaccine containing antigen from the strain Paramyxovirus GAM-61 VGNKI is used for prophylaxis against Newcastle disease by a single dose by intranasal, enteral, intramuscular or as aerosol at effective doses. EFFECT: new paramyxovirus indicated above, enhanced effectiveness of vaccine.

Claims (1)

The present invention relates to veterinary virology, in particular to a new strain of paramyxivirus used for the manufacture of a vaccine against Newcastle disease of birds. The aim of the invention is a new strain of Paramyxovirus GAM-61 VGNKI, which has less reactogenicity and high immunogenicity and is intended for the manufacture of a vaccine against Newcastle chicken disease. The strain of the virus of Newcastle disease of chickens is depoted in the collection of viruses and microorganisms VGNKI of veterinary drugs under N GAM-61. The vaccine made from the Paramyxovirus strain GAM-61 VGNKI is harmless to chickens 1-60 days old. The safety among egg chickens after its use is, on average, 99.3%, and among broiler chickens 83.0%. The geometric mean titer of antibodies in blood serum in these bird categories is 7.6 log 2 and 6.4 log 2, respectively. A vaccine containing an antigen from a strain of Paramyxovirus GAM-61 VGNKI is used prophylactically against Newcastle disease once intranasally, enteral, intramuscularly or aerosolized in effective doses.
