SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cosmetic products for animals, namely to a mask for dog skin and hair. EFFECT: above described mask for skin and hair of dogs extends the range of products for skin and hair of dogs, consists of safe and environmentally safe components, improves skin of animal, improves growth of hair, new hair becomes thicker and more silky, shine has appeared.

Description

Field of technology

The present invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, in particular, to cosmetic and medicinal products for animals. In particular, the invention relates to the composition of a mask for the skin and fur of dogs and can be used for external use for skin problems in dogs and problems with fur, as well as for the prevention of the condition of the skin and fur in dogs.

State of the art

Small pets, especially dogs, have always been of great importance in human life. Currently, a large number of cases of dog owners' visits to veterinary specialists are connected with the condition of the skin and coat of dogs. Basically, problems with the skin and coat are caused by a lack of useful and nutritious substances necessary for good condition of the skin and coat. The limited diet of dogs and life in big cities, in particular, in apartments, only aggravate the situation.

The condition of the coat, its active growth and quality largely depend on the skin receiving additional nutrition in the form of a complex of vitamins and oils.

Thus, at all times and especially at the present moment, there has been and is a need to develop various means to improve the condition of the skin and coat of dogs.

We are aware of patent application No. RU 94020140 A1, published on 20.02.1996, which describes an additive to food for dogs weakened by unfavorable conditions. Vitamin U is used as such an additive. At the same time, luster and hair growth increase.

The disadvantage of this solution is the limited scope of the additive.

Also known is Korean Patent No. KR 102523566 B1 published on April 18, 2023, which discloses a dog shampoo composition, and more specifically, the shampoo composition contains Chamaecyparis obtusa water, black bean extract, natural vegetable oil and carbonated water as active ingredients. According to the dog shampoo composition of the present invention, the cleaning ability and antibacterial activity are excellent for preventing and alleviating skin diseases in dogs, eliminating specific dog odors, adding shine to the coat, preventing hair loss.

The disadvantage of this solution is the limited area of action of the shampoo.

As the closest analogue, we took the solution on Chinese patent No. CN 107049881 A with the publication date of 08/18/2017, which discloses a medicated shampoo for cats and dogs and a method for preparing a medicated shampoo and relates to the field of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. The well-known shampoo contains plant extracts, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium hyaluronate, vitamin E, citric acid solution to maintain the pH value to 5.0-6.0 and distilled water. The well-known shampoo for cats and dogs can well protect, regulate and moisturize the hair of pets, restore the original color of pets' hair, improve the shine of hair, slow down skin aging, suppress bacteria and deodorize at the same time, and prevent infestation with ticks, fleas, bacteria, fungi and the like.

The disadvantage of this solution is the limited scope of the product.

The technical task of the invention is to overcome the shortcomings of the known level of technology, to expand the range of products for the skin and coat of dogs and to create a universal product for the skin and coat of dogs, which is multifunctional in its action.

Disclosure of invention

To solve the technical problem, we developed a mask composition for dog fur and skin, including a combination of natural oils and vitamins. The action of the carefully selected active composition of natural oils and vitamins is aimed at eliminating skin problems of animals and activating hair growth.

The technical result of the invention is to expand the range of products for skin and fur of dogs and to create a mask for skin and fur of dogs of a wide range of action, consisting of safe and environmentally friendly components, aimed at improving the skin of the animal, improving the growth of fur, in which the new fur has become thicker and silkier, shine has appeared. The general condition of the skin and fur is also improved.

To solve the technical problem and achieve the specified technical result, a mask for the skin and fur of dogs is proposed, which contains the following components, wt. %:

The influence and function of each component of the proposed mask is given below.

The B vitamin complex replenishes the necessary reserves and saturates the coat and skin with essential nutrients.

With a lack of Vitamin B1 (Thiamine hydrochloride), the hair becomes thin, lifeless and begins to fall out. Vitamin B1 nourishes the hair follicle, ensuring the growth of hair, its strength and elasticity. Vitamin B1 plays an important role in metabolic processes to provide the hair follicle with sufficient energy for hair growth.

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) is actively involved in cell metabolism and regeneration. Regulates the sebaceous glands.

Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) actively fights pigmentation, which very often occurs against the background of animal alopecia, improves skin color, maintains its water balance, stimulates regeneration, protects the skin from the effects of ultraviolet radiation, allergens, bacteria and other aggressive irritants.

Vitamin B5 (panthenol) effectively restores the animal's skin. Under the influence of vitamin B5, regeneration processes are accelerated. Accordingly, the epidermis is renewed faster and wounds heal. Panthenol also helps to strengthen the skin's protection, since it is able to stimulate the formation of lipids, as a result of which the barrier functions of the animal's epidermis are restored and strengthened. Panthenol also eliminates skin inflammation and prevents the likelihood of its development.

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) actively restores damaged animal skin.

Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) prevents dryness and brittleness of hair, enhances its growth, protects against hair loss. Effectively fights dandruff.

Cetearyl alcohol is a waxy substance that is naturally derived from plants such as palm oil or coconut oil, but can also be synthesized in a lab, and is commonly found in creams, lotions, moisturizers, and shampoos. When used in cosmetic products, cetearyl alcohol acts as an emulsifier and stabilizer, and prevents separation of products.

Cetrimonium chloride is an organic chemical compound used in cosmetics, a synthetic surfactant, has antiseptic and antistatic properties.

Behentrimonium chloride is an organic chemical compound used in cosmetics that has antistatic, antiseptic and conditioning properties.

Bay oil helps strengthen hair follicles, activate the growth of dormant follicles, and eliminate dandruff and various skin lesions in animals.

The extract of Monarda leaves and natural oils of Tea Tree and Black Cumin contained in the composition are natural antiseptics and also have pronounced antifungal and antimicrobial properties.

Sea buckthorn extract has a vitaminizing and healing effect, softens the skin and smoothes wrinkles, strengthens hair, prevents baldness and hair loss.

Unrefined argan oil restores the hydrolipid layer of the skin, strengthens the coat, and gives it a natural shine.

Aloe leaf gel is also a natural antiseptic, moisturizer and skin regenerator.

Wheat germ oil is rich in vitamins and microelements that help strengthen the health of the skin and coat, as well as improve the appearance. The oil has a high concentration of vitamin E, which is a strong antioxidant and protects the skin of the animal, especially hairless due to alopecia, from the negative impact of the environment and free radicals. It also contains carotenoids, which improve blood circulation and activate the hair follicles.

Amla oil stimulates the awakening of dormant hair follicles, eliminates dandruff, irritation and dryness of the skin and hair.

Hydrolyzed wheat protein is perfectly absorbed by the epidermis, stimulates renewal and, accordingly, restoration of the skin.

Peppermint essential oil has the ability to effectively combat bacterial, fungal and viral infections that cause various skin diseases in animals.

Lavender oil promotes hair growth by increasing blood circulation and stimulating the growth of new hair follicles. It also helps prevent hair loss.

Burdock oil contains a large number of minerals and vitamins, such as A, E, C and B vitamins. Microelements strengthen the structure of the coat and protect it from falling out. The combination of vitamins and fatty acids accelerates the growth of the coat, strengthens the roots and restores their structure. A very important element in the composition of burdock oil is inulin. This is a special substance that gives the coat a glossy shine and silkiness. Inulin is an excellent sorbent, cleansing the coat and skin of the animal from dirt and keratinized cells, while preserving beneficial microflora. In addition, the oil perfectly moisturizes and softens the skin, stimulating its immunity.

Grape seed oil contains antioxidants and omega-6 fatty acids, which promote hair growth.

Damask rose oil acts as an emollient, preventing dryness and keeping the skin surface moisturized. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe irritated pet skin.

Unrefined avocado oil is a natural ingredient with excellent moisturizing properties. Prevents the development of dermatitis, eczema and other skin diseases. Record holder in squalene content - a powerful antioxidant responsible for tissue restoration and the fight against fungi.

Vitamin E reduces pigmentation, improves regeneration and prevents dry skin.

All of the listed components are approved for use in cosmetics and are mostly natural substances whose properties are widely known.

Thus, as a product for animals, the invention performs the functions of restoring skin and fur, adding beauty to existing fur, and also preventing alopecia.

The quantitative ratio of the components was selected experimentally, taking into account the achievement of the best effect, as well as the permitted maximum permissible concentrations for cosmetic products.

The technological process of making a mask for dog hair includes the following main stages:

1. Load purified water (55.9 wt.%) into the cooking apparatus, heat to a temperature of 60-70°C, turn on the stirrer at 20 rpm.

2. Add the following ingredients to the water in sequence:

- Cetrimonium chloride (2.0 wt.%);

- Citric acid (0.3 wt.%);

- Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride (0.5 wt.%);

- Behentrimonium chloride (1.0 wt.%).

Homogenize the mixture until the components are completely dissolved.

3. Load the components listed below into a separate container. Heat while stirring to a temperature of 70-80°C.

- Cetearyl alcohol (6.0 wt.%);

- Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E) (0.1 wt.%);

- Unrefined avocado oil (0.14 wt.%);

- Burdock oil (0.16 wt.%);

- Wheat germ oil (0.5 wt.%);

- Unrefined argan oil (0.16 wt.%);

- Amla oil (0.16 wt.%);

- Grape seed oil (0.16 wt.%);

- Black cumin oil (0.2 wt.%).

The heated oil phase is then introduced into the cooking apparatus (points 1 and 2 above) and homogenized for 30 minutes.

4. Cool the mass to 30°C and sequentially, at intervals of 5 minutes, add the following ingredients (constantly homogenizing the mass):

- Hydrolyzed wheat proteins (0.2 wt.%);

- Aloe Vera gel (2.4 wt.%);

- Sea buckthorn extract (0.5 wt.%);

- Monarda extract (0.2 wt.%).

5. Cool the mass to 20°C and sequentially, at intervals of 5 minutes, add the following ingredients (constantly homogenizing the mass):

- Lavender essential oil (0.16 wt.%);

- Tea tree essential oil (0.16 wt.%);

- Peppermint essential oil (0.16 wt.%);

- Bay essential oil (0.3 wt.%);

- Damask rose essential oil (0.14 wt.%).

6. In a separate container, prepare a mixture of vitamins and preservatives, as given below, dissolve them in water and add the resulting mixture to the cooking apparatus.

- Purified water (15 wt.%);

- Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) (2.4 wt.%);

- Panthenol (Vitamin B5) (0.5 wt.%);

- Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) (2.4 wt.%);

- Thiamine hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) (2.4 wt.%);

- Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) (2.4 wt.%);

- Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) (2.4 wt.%);

- Preservative (1.0 wt.%). Homogenize the mass for 20 minutes.

7. After this, the mass should be unloaded from the cooking apparatus for packaging.

The method of using the mask is as follows.

For skin problems in dogs: apply the mask directly to the animal's (dog's) skin immediately after bathing. Part the fur in rows and apply the mask directly to the skin, either with your hands or using a brush. Rub the mask in with massage movements, distributing it completely over the animal's entire body, including the area behind the ears. Avoid contact with the eyes. Pay special attention to problem areas. After the mask has been applied completely, wrap the dog's body in cling film (you can use a plastic bag), leaving the muzzle free. Wrap a dry towel and/or a small blanket over the film. Leave for 20-40 minutes and rinse with warm water. Then dry the fur as usual, using a hair dryer or compressor. It is permissible to use a course using the same method. For prevention, it is permissible to dilute one part of the mask in one part of warm water. For uniform dilution, use a whisk or cappuccino maker.

Implementation of the invention

According to the above method, a mask composition for dog skin and fur was prepared. The mask composition had the following qualitative and quantitative composition, in wt. %: purified water - 70.9, cetearyl alcohol (Ginol 1618 TA) - 6.0, Aloe Vera gel - 2.4, pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) - 2.4, niacinamide (Vitamin 33) - 2.4, riboflavin (Vitamin B2) - 2.4, thiamine hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) - 2.4, cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) - 2.4, cetrimonium chloride (Dehyquart A-CA) - 2.0, behentrimonium chloride - 1.0, sea buckthorn extract - 0.5, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride (TEKGUAR conditioner) - 0.5, wheat germ oil - 0.5, panthenol (Vitamin B5) - 0.5, bay essential oil - 0.3, citric acid - 0.3, monarda extract - 0.2, black cumin oil - 0.2, hydrolyzed wheat proteins - 0.2, tea tree essential oil - 0.16, peppermint essential oil - 0.16, lavender essential oil - 0.16, burdock oil - 0.16, unrefined argan oil - 0.16, amla oil - 0.16, grape seed oil - 0.16, damask rose essential oil - 0.14, unrefined avocado oil - 0.14, oil complex (caprylic / capric triglyceride, tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E)) - 0.1, preservative (Euxyl PE 9010) - 1.0.

The resulting mask composition was applied to the skin and fur of the dog using the technology described above. After the course of using the mask, it became visually evident that the fur became thicker and silkier, and it became shiny. The test results are shown in photos 1-13. Photos 1-9 and 10-13 illustrate the condition of the skin and fur of dogs before, during, and after using the proposed mask.

The experiments conducted confirm the industrial applicability of the proposed mask, its practical significance, as well as the possibility of achieving a technical result.
