Предлагаемый способ относится к медицине, к области физиотерапии, в частности к способам профилактики и лечения различных заболеваний с помощью янтаря. Известен "Способ лечения янтарем и устройство для его осуществления" по патенту РФ 2128984, М. кл. А 61 Н 39/00, 39/06, заявл. 06.10.98 г., опубл. 20.04.99 г. Известный способ заключается в контактном воздействии на биологически активные точки пациентов янтарем, нагретым до температуры 37-38oС, в течение 15-30 минут. Курс лечения составляет 8-10 процедур. Устройство, предназначенное для осуществления данного способа, представляет собой так называемую "янтарную ванну". Оно содержит мраморную плиту, установленную на кушетку с подогревателем, которая ограничена бортиками. Сначала янтарь фиксируют на теле на время от 1 до 5 минут в сутки, затем дозу воздействия увеличивают на 1-10 минут до достижения порога воздействия до 3-6 часов, а в экстремальных случаях до 12 часов в сутки. Курс лечения составляет от 1 года до полутора лет с интервалом между циклами 1-2 месяца. Недостатком данного способа также является ограниченность его применения вследствие недоступности приобретения больными янтаря земных карьеров с большим числом парамагнитных центров. Тем более что не всякий янтарь обладает лечебными свойствами.
