Abstract

FIELD: medicine, in particular, equipment for performing therapeutic and sanitation-prophylactic massaging of human body.

SUBSTANCE: massaging apparatus has detachable massaging roll equipped with pivots and cylindrical massaging members and positioned for rotation around pin between parallel sides of clip, and handle secured on clip. Detachable massaging members may be heated or cooled. Massaging members are partly protruding above cylindrical surface of roll and are positioned for rotation in parallel with roll axis within its longitudinal slots. Two disks are mounted on pivots for restricting axial displacements of massaging members, at least one of said disks being made detachable.

EFFECT: increased therapeutic efficiency of massaging owing to combined mechanical and thermal contrasting action.

Description

The invention relates to medical equipment, and in particular to devices for conducting therapeutic and health-improving body massage.

Known massager containing a housing in the form of a tee coupling, on which cylindrical rollers are mounted on the axes with the possibility of rotation. On the surface of the rollers there are acting elements in the form of faces parallel to the axis. A handle is connected to the body [patent for invention RU No. 2074691, 01/05/1994, IPC ⁷ A 61 H 15/00]. Massage (kinestimulation) is carried out by rolling the rollers on the corresponding surface of the patient's body.

The disadvantage of this massage device is that the massage effect is limited only by mechanical action.

A massager is known, comprising a body in the form of a rectangular plate on which a cylindrical massage roller mounted on an axis is mounted on two racks. On its surface there are massage elements in the form of longitudinal ribs. The housing is adapted to hold it in the hand [patent for US invention No. 2767707, 10.23.1956, US C1. 601-118]. Massage is carried out by rolling a ribbed massage roller over the patient's body.

The disadvantage of the massager is that the massage performed with it is limited only by the mechanical effect on the patient's body.

Known massager, which according to one of the manufacturing options consists of a body in the form of a bracket, between the parallel elements of which are mounted on the axis of the massage roller with massage elements in the form of cylindrical protrusions, which are oriented in the radial direction, mounted on its surface. The handle is fixed on the bracket [GB patent No. 2303793 A, 03/05/1997, IPC ⁷ A 61 H 15/00]. During the massage, the massage roller is rolled over the surface of the body.

The disadvantage of this massager, as above the devices discussed, is that the massage effect is limited only by mechanical action.

The massager according to GB patent No. 2303793 in its technical essence is closest to the claimed device and therefore is considered as a prototype.

The objective of this proposal is to expand the functionality of the massage device through the implementation of the combined and simultaneously produced mechanical and thermal contrast effects, dispersed in a certain order of different-temperature massage elements.

When using the invention, the corresponding technical result is achieved due to the fact that in the known massager containing a removable massage roller with pins, equipped with cylindrical massage elements and mounted to rotate around an axis between the parallel sidewalls of the bracket, and a handle mounted on a bracket, removable massage elements are made with the possibility of heating or cooling, installed partially protruding above the cylindrical surface of the roller and parallel to the axis of the roller in its longitudinal grooves, with the possibility of rotation, and on the trunnions with the possibility of limiting the axial movements of the massage elements, two disks are fixed, at least one of which is removable. The massage element is made in the form of a sealed container and filled with substance with the possibility of heating or cooling. Massage elements made with the possibility of heating, and massage elements made with the possibility of cooling, are painted in various colors.

The essence of the invention is illustrated by drawings, where

The massager contains an easily and quickly removable cylindrical massage roller 1 (Figs. 1-3), rotatably mounted between the parallel sidewalls 2 of the bracket 3, and a handle 4. mounted on a bracket 4. A series of longitudinal parallel grooves 5 are made on the roller, in which the possibility of rotation and in the order of rotation are installed partially protruding above the surface of the roller removable different temperature cylindrical massage elements 6. The latter are parallel to the axis of the roller 1. The width of the groove 5 at the exit (at the cylindrical surface in face) more than the diameter of massage element 6, so that the latter does not fall out of the groove. At the ends of the massage roller there are two coaxial trunnions 7, which are installed in the grooves 8 made at the ends of the sidewalls 2. The exits from the grooves are blocked by a lintel 9, superimposed on the bracket 3 and in its main features repeating its shape. Directional movement of the latch is ensured by its placement in parallel grooves made in the sides 10 along the outer edges of the sidewalls 2. The latch is fixed using a screw 11 that is screwed into the threaded hole 12 at the base of the handle 4. The axial movements of the massage elements are limited by two disks 13 and 14 located on the pins 7, and the disk 13 is rigidly connected to the corresponding pin, and the disk 14 has a Central hole and is worn on the pin with the possibility of removal.

The massage element may be in the form of a sealed container filled with any known refrigerant or substance with high heat capacity. As a refrigerant, for example, a water-glycerin mixture can be used [patent for US invention No. 3888403, 05.27.1975, F 25 d 3/08], and as a substance with high heat capacity an alloy of polyethylene and paraffin [copyright certificate SU No. 1757612, 07/11/1989, A 45 D 2/36 A1]. For ease of use, massage elements made with the possibility of heating, and massage elements made with the possibility of cooling, are painted in various colors.

Before the massage, one part of the massage elements 6 is pre-cooled, for example, in the freezer of a domestic refrigerator, and the other part, on the contrary, is heated, for example by immersion in hot water. After that, the massager is assembled. To do this, cold and hot massage elements in a predetermined order of rotation are inserted into the grooves 5 on the massage roller 1. On the axle 7 put on the disk 14 and then both axles are inserted into the grooves 8 at the ends of the side walls 2. The exits from the grooves are closed with the help of the latch 9, which then fixed at the base of the handle 4 with a screw 11. For movement of the latch as a handle using a screw 11.

During the massage, the massage roller of the device with the necessary effort is pressed against the surface of the corresponding part of the body and rolled back and forth in various directions. At the same time, adjacent body parts in the area of two adjacent massage elements are simultaneously exposed to a combined mechanical and rhythmically changing multi-temperature effect.

When using the proposed device, the therapeutic effectiveness of the massage is increased due to the combined mechanical and thermal contrast exposure combined in time by the different-temperature massage elements arranged in alternation.

A massager containing a removable massage roller with pins, provided with cylindrical massage elements and mounted to rotate around an axis between the parallel sides of the bracket, and a handle mounted on a bracket, characterized in that the removable massage elements are made with the possibility of heating or cooling, partially protruding above the cylindrical surface of the roller and parallel to the axis of the roller in its longitudinal grooves with the possibility of rotation, and on the trunnions with the possibility of limiting axial movements two disc elements are reinforced by at least one of which is removable. 2.
