Способ очистки поверхности металлического изделия от краски, заключающийся в том, что электрическими токами нагревают поверхность металлического изделия под краской, отличающийся тем, что размещают вблизи очищаемой поверхности металлического изделия со стороны слоя краски индуктор и кратковременным индукционным нагревом доводят температуру очищаемой поверхности металлического изделия до температуры выделения газов из краски на поверхности раздела металл-краска, с последующим резким удалением образовавшимися газами слоя краски с очищаемой поверхности металлического изделия, при этом длительность кратковременного индукционного нагрева устанавливают меньше длительности прогрева всего слоя краски до температуры плавления, а мощность генератора, питающего индуктор, форму и размеры индуктора выбирают по условию поддержания газодинамического процесса резкого удаления газами слоя краски с очищаемой поверхности металлического изделия.1.
