Abstract

Un proceso para recuperar cobre, uranio y uno o mas metales preciosos a partir de un material mineral, que incluye: a. formar una pila de material mineral; b. someter la pila de material mineral a una lixiviacion acida en una pila usando una solucion de lixiviacion acida que contiene hierro en presencia de un gas que contiene oxigeno, y producir una solucion de lixiviacion cargada y un ripio; c. someter los ripios a flotacion para producir un concentrado de ripios que contiene cobre y relaves; y d. someter el concentrado de ripios a un proceso de fundicion para producir un producto de cobre fundido. e. recuperar cobre y uranio a partir de la solucion de lixiviacion cargada.
