Abstract
Description
Claims (9)
- a) 80 내지 99 중량%의, 아크릴산 또는 메타크릴산의 C1-C4-알킬 에스테르 및
b) 20 내지 1 중량%의, 알킬 라디칼 내에 4급 암모늄 기를 갖는 아크릴산 또는 메타크릴산의 알킬 에스테르 및
c) 0 내지 10%의 추가의 공중합성 비닐 단량체
로부터 선택된 단량체 혼합물로부터 4급 암모늄 기를 함유하는 (메트)아크릴레이트 공중합체를 제조하는 방법이며,
여기서 단량체 혼합물에 하나 이상의 중합 개시제, 임의로 하나 이상의 분자량 조절제 및 하나 이상의 용매 또는 용매 혼합물을 첨가하여 중합 혼합물을 제공하고, 이를 30 내지 120℃의 온도에서 2 내지 24 시간에 걸쳐 중합시키고,
여기서 중합 혼합물은 최종적으로 하기 성분:
50 내지 80 중량%의 단량체 혼합물,
0.01 내지 5 중량%의 하나 이상의 중합 개시제,
0 내지 2 중량%의 하나 이상의 분자량 조절제 및
50 내지 20 중량%의, 상기 단량체 혼합물의 단량체들, 중합 개시제 및 분자량 조절제를 용해시키는 용매 또는 용매 혼합물
의 총량의 98 중량% 이상이 사용 또는 소비되고,
여기서 중합 혼합물을, 단량체의 공중합체로의 전환율 99 중량% 이상으로 중합시켜 중합 시럽을 제공하고, 중합 시럽을 후속적으로 증류 또는 압출에 의해 탈기시키고, 탈기된 중합 시럽을 추가로 분쇄하여 과립 또는 분말 형태의 공중합체 제제를 수득하고,
여기서 공중합체 제제는
25,000 내지 50,000의 분자량 (Mw),
2.0 내지 3.2의 다분산도 및
10,000 중량 ppm 미만의 잔류 용매 농도
를 특징으로 하는 것인 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 단량체 혼합물이 50 내지 70 중량%의 메틸 메타크릴레이트, 20 내지 40 중량%의 에틸 아크릴레이트 및 7 내지 2 중량%의 2-트리메틸암모늄에틸 메타크릴레이트 클로라이드로 이루어지고 여기서 단량체들은 합하여 100%가 되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단량체 혼합물이 50 내지 70 중량%의 메틸 메타크릴레이트, 20 내지 40 중량%의 에틸 아크릴레이트 및 7 중량% 초과 내지 15 중량%의 2-트리메틸암모늄에틸 메타크릴레이트 클로라이드로 이루어지고 여기서 단량체들은 합하여 100%가 되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 용매 또는 용매 혼합물이 적어도 95 중량% 초과의, 에탄올, 메탄올, 이소-프로필 알콜, n-부틸 알콜, 이소-부틸 알콜, 테트라히드로푸란, 메틸 에틸 케톤, 메틸 이소-부틸 케톤, 디옥산, 아세톤, 에틸 아세테이트 또는 부틸 아세테이트의 군으로부터 선택된 용매 또는 용매 혼합물 및 5 중량% 미만의 기타 용매를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 용매 또는 용매 혼합물이 적어도 95 중량% 초과의 에탄올 또는 메탄올 또는 둘 다 및 5 중량% 미만의 기타 용매를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 용매 혼합물이 98 중량% 이상의, 50 내지 70 중량%의 에탄올 및 50 내지 30 중량%의 메탄올, 5 중량% 미만의 물 및 1 중량% 미만의 지방족 용매를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중합 개시제가 tert-부틸퍼피발레이트 또는 tert-부틸퍼-2-에틸헥사노에이트인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 분자량 조절제가 도데실메르캅탄인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 탈기 단계를, 2 내지 20 중량%의 물을 공비첨가제로서 중합 시럽에 첨가하여, 두 개의 탈기 대역을 갖는 이축 스크류 압출기에서 100 내지 200℃의 온도에서 수행하는 방법.
