Claims (10)
- CVI(화학증기침투) 로에서 CVI를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법으로서,상기 CVI 로는 전구체 가스 예열 영역 및 다공성 기판들이 조밀화되는 반응 체임버를 포함하고, 상기 CVI 로는 전구체 가스 예열 영역 및 반응 체임버를 이격시키는 바닥벽을 포함하고, 상기 바닥벽은 상기 다공성 기판들의 적층물들이 위치한 복수의 위치들에 대응하여 바닥벽을 통과하여 형성된 복수의 개구들을 가지고, 상기 조밀화 방법은:상기 반응 체임버 내에 적어도 제1 다공성 기판들의 복수의 적층물들을 배열하는 단계, 여기서 상기 반응 체임버의 주변 가장자리에 위치한 다공성 기판들의 적층물들은 조밀화되지 않은 다공성 기판들, 부분적으로 조밀화된 다공성 기판들, 또는 조밀화되지 않은 다공성 기판들 및 부분적으로 조밀화된 다공성 기판들의 조합이고, 부분적으로 조밀화된 기판들의 하나 이상의 적층물들은 상기 제1 다공성 기판들의 복수의 적층물들 사이의 중앙부에 위치함; 및화학증기침투 공정을 이용하여 적어도 상기 제1 다공성 기판들의 복수의 적층물들을 조밀화하는 단계를 포함하는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 조밀화되지 않은 다공성 기판들이 0.35g/cc 내지 0.60g/cc의 겉보기 밀도범위를 가지는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 부분적으로 조밀화된 다공성 기판들이 1.25g/cc 내지 1.77g/cc의 겉보기 밀도범위를 가지는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 상기 제1 다공성 기판들의 복수의 적층물들 사이에서 상기 중앙부에 위치한 부분적으로 조밀화된 기판들의 상기 하나 이상의 적층물들이 약 1600kg 내지 약 8000kg의 총 질량을 가지는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 스페이서 또는 쇄기를 사용하여 주어진 적층물에서 인접 다공성 기판들을 이격시키는 단계를 포함하는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 직조된(woven) 철망재료로 만들어진 단일한 쇄기를 사용하여 주어진 적층물에서 인접 다공성 기판들을 이격시키는 단계를 포함하는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 단일한 쇄기가 약 1mm 내지 약 6mm의 유효한 두께를 가지는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 복수의 적재 트레이들의 각각의 위에 다공성 기판들의 복수의 적층물들을 배열하는 단계, 및 상기 복수의 적재 트레이들 위에 배열된 복수의 다공성 기판들을 가지는 상기 복수의 적재 트레이들을 상기 반응 체임버 내에 배치하는 단계를 포함하는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 다공성 기판들의 상기 적층물들의 적어도 일부가 교대로 적층된 조밀화되지 않은 기판들 및 부분적으로 조밀화된 기판들을 포함하는 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 상기 부분적으로 조밀화된 다공성 기판들은 두께를 줄이기 위하여 미리 기계가공된 것인 CVI 로에서 화학증기침투를 이용하여 다공성 기판들을 조밀화하는 방법.
