Abstract
Description
Claims (23)
- 벌크 고화 무정형 합금(bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy)으로부터 금속성 글래스 발포체(metallic glass foam)의 연속시트를 제조하는 방법으로서,벌크 고화 무정형 합금의 점도를 약 0.1 내지 10,000 포아즈(poise)로 하고, 주조온도에서 임의의 양의 벌크 고화 무정형 합금 발포체 전구체(foam precursor)를 제공하는 단계;가열된 벌크 고화 무정형 합금의 연속시트를 형성하도록, 가열된 벌크 고화 무정형 합금 발포체 전구체를 이동하는 주조바디(casting body) 위로 도입하는 단계; 및,상기 가열된 벌크 고화 무정형 합금 발포체 전구체를, 벌크 고화 무정형 합금이 실질적으로 그의 무정형 상을 유지하면서 고체의 무정형 연속 발포체 시트를 형성하기에 충분히 빠른 급랭속도(quenching rate)로 급랭시키는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 전구체는,용융된 벌크-고화 무정형 합금을 제공하는 단계 및, 전구체를 형성하기 위해 용융된 합금의 액상선 온도(liquidus temperature) 이상의 온도에서 복수개의 가스 기포를 상기 용융된 합금에 도입하는 단계에 의해 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방 법.
- 제1항에 있어서,벌크 고화 무정형 합금의 "용융 온도" Tm 에서 상기 벌크 고화 무정형 합금의 점도는 약 0.1 내지 10,000 포아즈인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,벌크 고화 무정형 합금의 "용융 온도" Tm 에서 상기 벌크 고화 무정형 합금의 점도는 약 1 내지 1000 포아즈인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 벌크 고화 무정형 합금의 임계 냉각 속도는 1,000℃/sec 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 벌크 고화 무정형 합금의 임계 냉각 속도는 10℃/sec 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,가스 기포는 용융 합금을 교반(stirring)함에 의해 상기 용융 합금으로 도 입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,가스 기포는 용융 합금에 가스 발생제(gas releasing agent)를 부가함에 의해 상기 용융합금으로 도입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,크기가 1㎛ 내지 1mm인 복수개의 기포가 30% 미만 (< 30%)의 부피 분율로 용융 금속에 도입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 금속성 글래스 발포체의 50 부피% 이상이 무정형 원자 구조를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,전구체를 기계적으로 교반함에 의해 팽창된 기포를 확산가열(homogenizing)하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,전구체를 형성하기 위해 가스 기포를 도입하는 단계가 50 바(bar) 이상 까지 의 압력에서 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 금속성 발포체의 기포는 약 10㎛의 크기 분포를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 벌크 고화 무정형 합금은 Zr계 무정형 합금인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,급랭 단계는 주조 바디 상에서 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 주조 바디는 휠(wheel), 벨트(belt), 이중롤 휠(double-roll wheel)로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 주조 바디는 높은 열전도율을 가진 재료로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 주조 바디는 구리(copper), 크롬구리(chromium copper), 베릴륨 구리(beryllium copper), 분산경화 합금(dispersion hardening alloy) 및 무산소 구리(oxygen-free copper)로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 재료로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 주조바디는, 적어도, 고연마(highly polished) 되거나 또는 크롬도금(chrome-plated)된 것 중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 주조 바디는 0.5 내지 10 cm/sec의 속도로 움직이는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 합금의 주조 온도는 1 내지 1,000 포아즈의 점도 범위에서 안정화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 합금의 주조 온도는 10 내지 100 포아즈의 점도 범위에서 안정화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 발포체 시트는 0.1 내지 10 mm의 두께를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
