Description
化合物[48]の合成
4−ヒドロキシカルバゾール4.5g、ジクロロメタン360mlとジイソプロピルアミン3.0gの混合溶液を窒素気流下、0℃に冷やし、無水トリフルオロメタンスルホン酸8.3gを滴下した。この混合溶液を室温で2時間撹拌した後、水50mlを注入し、ジクロロメタン50mlで抽出した。有機層を水50mlで2回洗浄し、硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥後、エバポレートした。シリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製し、真空乾燥した後、9H−カルバゾール−4−イルトリフルオロメタンスルホナート7.0gを得た。
1H−NMR(CDCl3(d=ppm)):7.02(t,1H),7.30−7.70(m,20H),8.04(s,1H),8.15(d,1H),8.33−8.39(m,5H),8.91(d,1H),8.97(d,1H)。
化合物[2]の合成
シアヌル酸クロリド12.5gとテトラヒドロフラン12.5gの混合溶液を窒素気流下、0℃に冷やし、攪拌した。この混合溶液にフェニルマグネシウムブロミド(32% in THF)105.6gを1時間半かけてゆっくり滴下した。その際、系内温度は15℃以下を維持した。滴下後、室温で1時間半攪拌して、トルエン80mlを添加して、0℃に冷やした。この混合溶液に12%HClを15分間かけてゆっくり滴下した。その際、系内温度は30℃以下を維持した。その後、水を注入し、トルエンで抽出した。有機層を水で2回洗浄し、硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥後、エバポレートした。得られた濃縮物をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製し、真空乾燥した後、2−クロロ−4,6−ジフェニル−1,3,5−トリアジン8.15gを得た。
1H−NMR(CDCl3(d=ppm)):7.06(t,1H),7.28−7.73(m,20H),8.15(d,1H),8.37(s,1H),8.78−8.82(m,4H),9.14(d,1H),9.21(d,1H)。
化合物[13]の合成
3−ブロモカルバゾール1.6g、4−(9−カルバゾリル)フェニルボロン酸2.1g、2M炭酸カリウム水溶液7.2ml、1,2−ジメトキシエタン33mlと酢酸パラジウム29mgとトリス(2−メチルフェニル)ホスフィン100mgの混合溶液を窒素気流下、6時間還流した。室温に冷却した後、トルエンで抽出した。 有機層を水で2回洗浄し、硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥後、エバポレートした。得られた濃縮物をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製し、真空乾燥した後、3−(4−(9H−カルバゾル−9−イル)フェニル)−9H−カルバゾール2.0gを得た。
1H−NMR(CDCl3(d=ppm)):7.43−7.55(m、6H),7.65−7.74(m,10H),7.96−8.04(m,3H),8.18−8.20(m,3H),8.41(m,1H),8.79−8.83(d、4H),9.21−9.31(m,2H)。
化合物[12]の合成
4−(9−カルバゾリル)フェニルボロン酸の代わりに3−(9H−カルバゾール−9−イル)フェニルボロン酸を用いた以外は合成例3と同様の方法で合成し、白色結晶を得た。
1H−NMR(DMSO−d6(d=ppm)):7.32(td、2H),7.43−7.53(m,5H),7.63−7.75(m,8H),7.84(t,1H),8.05−8.11(m,3H),8.28−8.31(d,2H),8.34−8.37(d,1H),8.67−8.71(m、5H),9.07(d,1H),9.14(d、1H)。
化合物[38]の合成
2−クロロ−4,6−ジフェニル−1,3,5−トリアジンの代わりに2−(3−クロロフェニル)−4,6−ジフェニル−1,3,5−トリアジンを用いた以外は合成例3と同様の方法で合成し、白色結晶を得た。
1H−NMR(CDCl3(d=ppm)):7.32−7.71(m、18H),7.79−7.89(m,3H),7.98(d,2H),8.18(d,2H),8.29(d,1H),8.52(s,1H),8.77−8.80(m,4H),8.95(m、1H),9.04(s,1H)。
化合物[9]の合成
2−ブロモニトロベンゼン20g、4−クロロフェニルボロン酸17g、リン酸三カリウム45g、テトラブチルアンモニウムブロミド6.9g、酢酸パラジウム480mgとジメチルホルムアミド500mlの混合溶液を窒素気流下、130℃で5時間加熱撹拌した。室温に冷却した後、水100mlを注入し、トルエン150mlで抽出した。有機層を水100mlで2回洗浄し、硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥後、エバポレートした。シリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーで精製し、真空乾燥後、2−(4−クロロフェニル)ニトロベンゼン22gを得た。
得られた粉末の1H−NMR分析結果は次の通りであり、上記で得られた白色結晶が化合物[9]であることが確認された。
1H−NMR(CDCl3(d=ppm)):7.30−7.36(m、1H),7.43−7.56(m,4H),7.61−7.76(m,13H),7.91(dd,1H),8.14−8.33(m,4H),8.76−8.80(m,4H),9.18−9.23(m,2H)。
化合物[20]の合成
3−ブロモカルバゾールの代わりに2−ブロモカルバゾールを用いた以外は合成例3と同様の方法で合成し、白色結晶を得た。
1H−NMR(CDCl3(d=ppm)):7.26−7.36(m、2H),7.45−7.84(m,15H),8.08−8.21(m,6H),8.80−8.83(m,4H),9.24−9.27(d,1H),9.76(s、1H)。
ITO透明導電膜を125nm堆積させたガラス基板(ジオマテック(株)製、11Ω/□、スパッタ品)を38×46mmに切断し、エッチングを行った。得られた基板を “セミコクリーン56”(商品名、フルウチ化学(株)製)で15分間超音波洗浄してから、超純水で洗浄した。この基板を素子を作製する直前に1時間UV−オゾン処理し、真空蒸着装置内に設置して、装置内の真空度が5×10−4Pa以下になるまで排気した。抵抗加熱法によって、まず正孔注入材料として、銅フタロシアニンを10nm、4,4’−ビス(N−(1−ナフチル)−N−フェニルアミノ)ビフェニルを50nm蒸着した。
ホスト材料として表1に記載した材料を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして発光素子を作製した。各実施例の結果は表1に示した。
ホスト材料として下記式に示すH−1〜H−6を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして発光素子を作製した。各比較例の結果は表1に示した。
ITO透明導電膜を50nm堆積させたガラス基板(ジオマテック(株)製、11Ω/□、スパッタ品)を38×46mmに切断し、エッチングを行った。得られた基板を “セミコクリーン56”(商品名、フルウチ化学(株)製)で15分間超音波洗浄してから、超純水で洗浄した。この基板を素子を作製する直前に1時間UV−オゾン処理し、真空蒸着装置内に設置して、装置内の真空度が5×10−4Pa以下になるまで排気した。抵抗加熱法によって、正孔注入層としてHI−1を10nm蒸着した。次に、第一正孔輸送層として、HT−1を80nm蒸着した。次に、第二正孔輸送層として、HT−2を10nm蒸着した。次に、発光層として、ホスト材料に化合物[13]を、ドーパント材料に化合物D−2を用い、ドーパント材料のドープ濃度が10重量%になるようにして30nmの厚さに蒸着した。次に、有機化合物(E−2)とドナー性化合物(Liq:リチウムキノリノール)を蒸着速度比1:1(=0.05nm/s:0.05nm/s)で混合した層を、電子輸送層として35nmの厚さに積層した。
ホスト材料として表2に記載した材料を用いたこと以外は実施例7と同様に発光素子を作製し、評価した。結果を表2に示す。
ホスト材料として表2に記載した化合物を用いたこと以外は実施例7と同様にして発光素子を作製し、評価した。結果を表2に示す。
正孔注入層として、化合物HI−1の代わりに化合物HT−1と化合物HI−2を用い、化合物HT−1に対して化合物HI−2のドープ濃度が3重量%になるようにして10nm蒸着したこと以外は実施例7と同様にして発光素子を作製した。結果を表2に示す。なお、HI−2は以下に示す化合物である。
ホスト材料に化合物[13]の代わりに化合物[13]と化合物H−7の混合ホスト(化合物[13]と化合物H−7の共蒸着膜を蒸着速度比が1:1で蒸着、さらにドーパントが蒸着される)を用いたこと以外は実施例11〜14と同様にして発光素子を作製した。結果を表2に示す。なお、H−7、HT−3、HT−4は以下に示す化合物である。
正孔注入層として、化合物HI−1の代わりに化合物HI−3を用いたこと以外は実施例11〜14と同様にして発光素子を作製した。結果を表2に示す。なお、HI−3は以下に示す化合物である。
電子輸送層として、化合物E−2とドナー性化合物(Liq:リチウムキノリノール)を混合した層の代わりに表2に記載した材料を用いた以外は実施例11と同様にして発光素子を作製した。結果を表2に示す。なお、E−3〜E−5は以下に示す化合物である。
電子輸送層として、化合物E−2とドナー性化合物(Liq:リチウムキノリノール)を混合した層の代わりに化合物E−2と化合物E−1を膜厚比1:1で35nmの厚さに積層して用いた以外は実施例11と同様にして発光素子を作製した。結果を表2に示す。
電子輸送層として、化合物E−2とドナー性化合物(Liq:リチウムキノリノール)を混合した層の代わりに化合物[15]と化合物E−1を膜厚比1:1で35nmの厚さに積層して用いた以外は実施例11と同様にして発光素子を作製した。結果を表2に示す。
電子輸送層として、化合物E−2とドナー性化合物(Liq:リチウムキノリノール)を混合した層の代わりに化合物E−4と化合物E−1を膜厚比1:1で35nmの厚さに積層して用いた以外は実施例11と同様にして発光素子を作製した。結果を表2に示す。
電子輸送層として、化合物E−2とドナー性化合物(Liq:リチウムキノリノール)を混合した層の代わりに化合物E−4と、化合物E−1とドナー性化合物(Li:金属リチウム)を蒸着速度比1:1(=0.05nm/s:0.05nm/s)で混合した層を膜厚比1:1で35nmの厚さに積層して用いた以外は実施例7と同様にして発光素子を作製した。結果を表2に示す。
Claims (10)
- 下記一般式(1)で表されるカルバゾール骨格を有する化合物であって、分子中にカルバゾール骨格が2個のみ含まれる化合物を含有することを特徴とする発光素子材料。
(R1〜R8はそれぞれ同じでも異なっていてもよく、水素、アルキル基、シクロアルキル基、複素環基、アルケニル基、シクロアルケニル基、アルキニル基、アルコキシ基、アルキルチオ基、アリールエーテル基、アリールチオエーテル基、アリール基、ヘテロアリール基、ハロゲン、カルボニル基、カルボキシル基、オキシカルボニル基、カルバモイル基、アミノ基、シリル基、−P(=O)R9R10および下記一般式(2)からなる群より選ばれる。R9およびR10はアリール基またはヘテロアリール基である。ただしR1〜R8のうち少なくとも1つは下記一般式(2)で表される基であり、一般式(2)におけるR19〜R23のうちいずれかの位置と連結する。Yは単結合またはアリーレン基である。Zは下記式(3)で表される基である。
(R11〜R23はそれぞれ同じでも異なっていてもよく、水素、アルキル基、シクロアルキル基、複素環基、アルケニル基、シクロアルケニル基、アルキニル基、アルコキシ基、アルキルチオ基、アリールエーテル基、アリールチオエーテル基、アリール基、ヘテロアリール基、ハロゲン、カルボニル基、カルボキシル基、オキシカルボニル基、カルバモイル基、アミノ基、シリル基および−P(=O)R24R25からなる群より選ばれる。R24およびR25はアリール基またはヘテロアリール基である。R19〜R23は隣接する置換基同士で環を形成してもよい。ただし、R19〜R23のうちいずれか1つは一般式(1)におけるR1〜R8のうちいずれかの位置と連結する。また、R11〜R23は、一般式(1)におけるR1〜R8のうちいずれかの位置と連結する場合を除いて、窒素原子を含む縮環構造、酸素原子を含む縮環構造、硫黄原子を含む縮環構造およびアミン構造は含まない。なお、一般式(1)におけるR3またはR6の位置と一般式(2)におけるR13またはR16の位置が連結することはない。)
(X1〜X3は、CHまたはNを示し、X1〜X3のうち少なくとも1つは、窒素原子である。Ar1およびAr2は、それぞれ同じでも異なっていてもよく、縮環構造でない、置換もしくは無置換のアリール基またはヘテロアリール基である。) - 一般式(1)におけるR4またはR5のうちいずれかの位置と一般式(2)におけるR19〜R23のうちいずれかの位置とが連結することを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光素子材料。
- Yが単結合である請求項1または2記載の発光素子材料。
- Ar1およびAr2が、それぞれ同じでも異なっていてもよく、置換もしくは無置換のフェニル基である請求項1〜3のいずれか記載の発光素子材料。
- R1〜R23が、それぞれ同じでも異なっていてもよく、水素、アルキル基、アリール基またはヘテロアリール基である請求項1〜4のいずれか記載の発光素子材料。
- 陽極と陰極の間に少なくとも発光層が存在し、電気エネルギーにより発光する発光素子であって、発光素子が請求項1〜5のいずれか記載の発光素子材料を含有することを特徴とする発光素子。
- 陽極と陰極の間に少なくとも発光層が存在し、電気エネルギーにより発光する素子であって、発光層が三重項発光材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項6記載の発光素子。
- 発光層がホスト材料とドーパント材料を有し、請求項1〜5のいずれか記載の発光素子材料がホスト材料であることを特徴とする請求項6または7記載の発光素子。
- 陽極と陰極の間に少なくとも正孔輸送層および発光層が存在し、電気エネルギーにより発光する素子であって、正孔輸送層と陽極の間に正孔注入層が存在し、正孔注入層がアクセプター性化合物を含有する請求項6〜8のいずれか記載の発光素子。
- 発光層と陰極の間に少なくとも電子輸送層が存在し、電子輸送層が、電子受容性窒素を含み、さらに炭素、水素、窒素、酸素、ケイ素、リンの中から選ばれる元素で構成されるヘテロアリール環構造を有する化合物を含有することを特徴とする請求項6〜9のいずれか記載の発光素子。
