Description
本発明の方法に使用される装置は、ガスを圧縮するためのコンプレッサと、ガスをコンプレッサの吸込み側に供給し、圧縮されたガスを、後続の利用をするための装置に供給する配管装置とを有し、配管装置がバイパスを備え、このバイパスによって、圧縮されたガスがコンプレッサの吸込み側に戻し可能である。
本発明の方法を実施するための装置は、配管装置が、コンプレッサの吐出側にクーラを備え、このクーラ内で、圧縮されたガスが、コンプレッサの吸込み側に供給されたガスの温度よりも高い温度に冷却可能であり、バイパスが、流れ方向でクーラの後で配管装置に接続されており、バイパス内に、バイパスを流れるガスの再冷却をするためのエキスパンダが配設されている。エキスパンダとして、特別な限度で、ターボ機械として形成されたターボエキスパンダが適している。ガスが圧縮の際に加熱されるにもかかわらず、コンプレッサは、バイパスを流れるガスの再冷却に基づいて低い吸入温度に対して設定することができ、これは、コンプレッサの出力の必要、重量、及び場所の必要に有利に作用する。この装置は、固定式でも可動式でも、例えば液化天然ガス(LNG)のような液状の炭化水素を輸送する例えばタンカー上で使用することができる。

Claims (4)
- 貯蔵容器(2)内に低温液を貯蔵する際に蒸発により生じる低温の炭化水素ガス(4)を圧縮するための装置をコントロールする方法において、
(a)低温ガス(4)を−140℃と−80℃の間の温度でコンプレッサに供給し、
(b)さらなる利用を可能にするために、ガス(4)をコンプレッサ(7)によって6〜50barの圧力に圧縮し、
(c)圧縮されたガスを、ガスタービンまたは内燃機関の運転のために使用し、
(d)ガスタービン(11)または内燃機関の運転のために必要なガス必要量に依存して多少の大きなバイパス流をコンプレッサ(7)の吸込み側(6)へ戻し、その際戻されたバイパス流がエキスパンダにより−140℃と−80℃の間の温度に冷却される工程からなることを特徴とする方法。 - エキスパンダ(12)とコンプレッサ(7)とが、機械的に連結されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに利用されるかまたはバイパス流として戻される圧縮されたガス(4)が10℃と80℃の間の温度に冷却されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- エキスパンダ(12)内で冷却されたガス流が装置の吸込み側(6)を冷却するために利用されることを特徴とする請求項1から3までのいずれか1つに記載の方法。
