C6H5CH2CH3 + 1/2O2 → C6H5CH=CH2 + H2O
酸化脱水素反応は発熱性で不可逆である。酸化脱水素反応は、例えば、米国特許第5,510,553 号および第4,777,319 号に開示されている。この方法はまた、Kirk-Othmer, Encyclopedia of Chemical Technologies, 第22巻、978 頁 (1996) にも解説されている。
1好適態様において、触媒床(40)は、少なくとも2つの垂直材料層(50, 60)を含んでおり、材料層の少なくとも1つは活性触媒材料(60)であり、材料層の少なくとも1つは、カリウム化合物が添加されていてもよい不活性材料(50)である。活性触媒とカリウム化合物を含有していてもよい略不活性な材料の多くの異なる組合わせが本発明の範囲内である。例えば、アルキル芳香族化合物の供給流を非酸化脱水素するための好ましい態様では、高活性の非酸化脱水素触媒を触媒床(40)の外側の層(60)に配置し、カリウム化合物が添加されていてもよいセラミックまたはα−アルミナ材料といった略不活性の材料は、ラジアル反応器(10)の内側の層(50)内に配置する。
Claims (10)
- 気体または液体供給流の接触反応用ラジアル反応器(10)であって、
前記供給流を前記ラジアル反応器(10)の中心に導く入口管(20)、および
二つ以上のリング形状で垂直の材料層を備える縦型環状触媒床(40)を備え、
触媒床(40)の外側のリング形状垂直層(60)内に活性触媒材料は配置され、触媒床(40)の内側のリング形状垂直層(50)内に不活性材料が収容され、
入口管(20)を通って導入される供給流は、半径方向外側に、最初に内側のリング形状垂直層(50)を通過し、続いて外側のリング形状垂直層(60)を通過して分配される、
ラジアル反応器。 - 不活性材料(50)にカリウム化合物が予め添加されている請求項1に記載のラジアル反応器。
- カリウム化合物が酸化カリウム、水酸化カリウム、炭酸カリウム、および重炭酸カリウムよりなる群から選ばれる、請求項2に記載のラジアル反応器。
- 添加されたカリウム化合物が不活性材料(50)の少なくとも0.1 重量%を占める、請求項2または3に記載のラジアル反応器。
- 触媒材料(60)を収容した垂直層の厚みが、ラジアル反応器の中心から半径方向に測定して、少なくとも4インチ (10 cm)である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のラジアル反応器。
- 不活性材料(50)がα−アルミナ、セラミック材料またはモノリス構造物からなる、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のラジアル反応器。
- ラジアル反応器内に収容されているリング形状垂直層の全体の厚みが少なくとも18インチ (45 cm)である、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のラジアル反応器。
- 活性触媒材料(60)が複数の活性触媒生成物からなり、その触媒生成物の少なくとも2つが異なる性能特性を有する、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のラジアル反応器。
- アルキル芳香族化合物の供給流をラジアル反応器(10)に通すことからなる、アルキル芳香族化合物供給流の非酸化脱水素方法であって、ラジアル反応器が
前記供給流を前記ラジアル反応器(10)の中心に導く入口管(20)、および
二つ以上のリング形状で垂直の材料層を備える縦型環状触媒床(40)を備え、
触媒床(40)の外側のリング形状垂直層(60)内に活性触媒材料は配置され、触媒床(40)の内側のリング形状垂直層(50)内に不活性材料が収容され、
