Abstract

A scouring device comprises an abrasive layer of woven or webbed synthetic fibre containing abrasive particles bonded therein, bonded to a pad of pliable water-absorbent backing material. Preferably the backing is of polyurethane foam and the abrasive layer webbed nylon having particles of aluminium oxide bonded therein, the layers being bonded by suitable adhesives. The pad may be inserted in a holder. Colour codes may be used to distinguish differing degrees of abrasiveness.
