Abstract

1,008,721. Cleaning pads; shoe cleaning apparatus; brush and pad combinations. CHISWICK PRODUCTS Ltd. April 22, 1963 [May 30, 1962], No. 20721/62. Headings A4F and A4K. A polyurethane foam pad 13 impregnated with wax shoe polish is mounted on a holder 14 provided with a cover 15 the rim of which may be engaged in a groove 14b in the holder 14 when the pad is not in use, and in a groove 14c when the pad is used for applying polish, the cover 15 then serving as a handle. In a modified construction the holder 14 is provided on one side with a pad 13 and on the other with a bristle brush 17, and two covers 15 are provided. The brush 17 may be replaced by a cloth duster.
