Abstract

915,278. Watches. MORF, E. Dec. 21, 1959 [Jan. 31, 1959], No. 43369/59. Class 139. A watch case comprises a combined back and caseband 1, Figs. 1 and 2, having an internal cylindrical face 3 against which the outer edge of the glass 5 is held by a strengthening ring 6. A non-circular portion 7 of the glass projects through a similar opening in the bezel 9 the inner conical edge of which engages a groove 11 in the wall 8 of the glass. In another example the caseband has curved cut corners and the bezel opening is similarly shaped. The caseband may be separate from the back in which case the bezel is a snap-fit on the caseband instead of being attached to the glass.
