Abstract

1,035,000. Watches. E.MORF. June 1,1965 [June 4, 1964], No. 23351/65. Heading G3T A watch with a winding and hand-setting stem made in two pieces, of which one stem piece 8, Fig 1 (not shown) is carried by the watch movement 1 whilst the other stem piece 9 is carried by the watchcase 3, is characterized in that the stem piece 9 carried by the watchcase is inclined, e.g. from 10 to 20 degrees, to a plane perpendicular to the watch axis. This enables a relatively large crown 11 to be used without projecting above the upper surface of the case, and enables the glass rim 6 to be deeply embedded without increasing the height of the watch. In a modification, the crown is located in a recess in the case and thereby partly concealed.
