906,948. Seed sowing machines; fertilizer distributers. CHARPENET, L. J. Nov. 15, 1960 [Nov. 16, 1959], No. 39207/60. Class 6(1). A seed sowing machine, or fertilizer distributer is provided with two hoppers A, B hinged together on a vertical axis c so that they may be folded for transport as shown in Fig. 3. Each hopper A, B is supported by a wheel carried by a frame u articulated to each hopper. In the position shown in Fig. 1 each wheel drives through a dog clutch a distributing shaft on which are mounted obliquely positioned discs. The frames u are held in the position shown in Fig. 1 by means of pins o. When the hoppers are folded back the wheels and frames u are moved through 90 degrees so that the pins o engage at positions p, q. Prior to moving the frames u the dog clutch drive to the distributing shafts is disconnected.
