Abstract

883,705. Hurdle supports. EATON BERRY Ltd. March 17, 1960, No. 9518/60. Class 45. A support for a multi-barred gate or hurdle comprises a base member 1, Fig. 1, arranged to extend below and substantially normal to the plane of the hurdle or gate an upright member 3 secured to it, a brace member 5, and a clamp plate 9 arranged to pivot on the pin 7. In positioning the support, the clamp plate is pivoted until it is transverse to the upright member ; two bars 12 of the gate are then inserted and the plate is then pivoted to be parallel to the upright member and the wing nut 11 tightened. A more permanent attachment is provided with a nut and bolt (not shown) through holes 13. Wheels 17 may be attached to the base member by mounting them on stub shafts 19 provided with plates 20 adapted to be secured to support plates 15 on the base member.
