Abstract

876,698. Endless-belt conveyers. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. May 11, 1960 [Sept. 30, 1959], No. 33242/59. Class 78 (1). An endless belt conveyer comprises a magnet 8, 9, extending lengthwise of laterally-spaced non-metallic conveyer elements 3, 4, and arranged so as to act on, but not to engage, an article such as a can 1 supported by the elements 3, 4. As shown, the elements 3, 4 consist of nylon or cotton ropes which pass round a rotatable magnetic wheel 5, on to brass supportmembers 6, 7. Magnets 8, 9 are secured by eccentric adjustment bolts 12 to the members 6, 7. The cans 1 are transferred to the conveyer from a second conveyer 2.
