840,669. Pulverized fuel furnaces. KOHLENSCHEIDUNGS G.m.b.H. March 7, 1957 [March 7, 1956], No. 7667/57. Class 51 (1). In a tangentially-fired, pulverized fuel furnace having a combustion chamber 1 and a radiation chamber 3, cooled combustion gases are injected in controlled amounts into the rising stream of combustion gases leaving the chamber 1 through nozzles 7 which are circumferentially arranged around the throat 2 connecting the chambers.
