Abstract
803,812. Tractor load-handling equipment. BARTELS, F. March 21, 1956 [Feb. 22, 1955], No. 5266/55. Class 78 (3). [Also in Group XXI] A pair of swinging arms 7 carrying stops 10 are so mounted on and at one end of a box, scoop, or like receptacle 2 pivotally mounted by trunnions 5 in vertically movable arms 1 secured on a tractor that movement of the arms 7 relative to each other in one direction causes the stops 10 to engage the arms 1 to hold the receptacle 2 in a fixed relationship to the arms 1 and movement in the opposite direction causes the stops 10 to disengage from the arms and so free the receptacle for pivotal movement about the trunnions 5. A hand-operated linkage 12, 14, 15 actuates the arms 7. Stops 16 and 18 on the receptacle limit the inward and outward movement respectively of the arms 7. An additional stop 10a may be provided on the arms 7 so as to positively limit in either direction pivotal movement of the receptacle.
