Abstract

803,561. Impact crushers. JARUZA, A. G, May 31, 1956 [June 2, 1955], No. 16897/56. Class 59 An impact crusher comprises a hammer rotor and a co-operating impact surface which is rotatable about an axis perpendicular to that of the hammer rotor. As shown in Fig. 1, the impact surface comprises grooved plates 7 which are removably secured to the inner surface of a substantially spherical casing 6 which is rotatable by means of a worm and wormwheel 11, 12. The impact surface is cleaned, when outside the range of the rotor hammers, by means of fixed scrapers 18, Fig. 3, or by means of brushes or water sprays. The casing may, alternatively, be substantially cylindrical or conical. In a modification, Fig. 4, the impact surface is formed by the outer grooved surface 27 of a rotatable roller 26. This roller may have its axis inclined to the vertical and may be cylindrical.
