Abstract

562,665. Castors. DAVIES, N. A., and VANE, A. H. March 5, 1943, No. 3637. [Class 52 (i)] A castor is provided with a cylindrical roller bearing 7 and a conical roller bearing 8, formed by a hollow machined conical spigot 3 integral with the plate 1, for attachment to a trolley, and a machined socket 4 with integral parallel arms 5 holding the wheel 6. The mean diameter of the conical roller bearing 8 exceeds that of the lower cylindrical roller bearing. A central bolt 9 and retaining washer 10 secures the parts together.
