Abstract

300,310. Hunt, W. T. Aug. 12, 1927. Fuel, feeding.-A mechanical stoker comprises a hopper 1 with mechanical breakers 2 and a feeding drum 3 with recesses a delivering fuel on to a horizontal rotating platform 4 having radial ribs 4a. The fuel is projected into the furnace through an opening in the housing of the platform 4 and distributed by adjustable deflector plates 9. The stoker is driven by worm gearing 6, 7.
