Abstract

305,210. Inventia Patent - Verwertungs-Ges. Feb. 3, 1928, [Convention date]. Filtering.-A filter of charcoal or like granular material capable of absorbing fine dust and micro-organisms in its pores is located after the ordinary dust bag of a vacuum cleaner in the direction of the air stream. The filtering material c such as charcoal or sand is contained in a holder f of linen &c. in a perforated container d within a casing a capable of screwing into the apparatus. The casing a may in some cases be omitted, the container d being then formed with a screw thread to fit the cleaner. On removal from the cleaner after use, the holder f with the contained filtering material may be soaked in a bactericidal medium. The apparatus is applicable to apparatus having a removable adapter for varying the area either of the air inlet or outlet.
