Abstract
298,005. Loewenthal, S. Nov. 30, 1927. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Tobacco pipes; tobacco-pipe cleaners and stoppers.-A flexible metal or other sheath a for the mouthpiece comprises a cup c for closing the smoke duct, a cleaning needle d entering the smoke duct, and a slidable bowl scraper f, the sheath forming a housing for the needle and scraper when the latter are not in use.. A rubber disc may be provided in the cap c, and the needle d is hinged at e in order to fold up when not in use. The cap c may be used as a pipe stopper. In a. modification, Fig. 5, applicable to pipes having a deflector in the smoke bore, the needle d is short and a slidable cleaning needle d<1> is housed in the side of the sheath.
