256,601. Krupp Grusonwerk Akt.- Ges., F. Aug. 8, 1925, [Convention date]. Distilling zinc and other metals. - Lead and zinc are obtained separately from ores or metallurgical products containing them by treating the materials successively in two distinct operations, in the first of which the lead is volatilized under oxidizing conditions yielding oxide or sulphate. and in the second of which the zinc is volatilized after the addition of reducing agents to the residue from the first operation, the volatilized products of the two processes being collected separately. Other volatilizable metals such as antimony which may be present are obtained along with the zinc. Specification 24009/10 is referred to.
