Abstract
Acid amide derivatives of the general formula (I> <IMAGE> where R<1> is hydrogen or a C1-6 alkyl group and R<2> is hydrogen or an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic or heteroaromatic ring or an unsubstituted or substituted C1-6 alkyl group, or R<1> and R<2> together denote an unsubstituted or substituted alkylene group, R<3> is hydrogen or a readily cleavable esterifying group, such as trialkylsilyl or trichloroethyl, and <IMAGE> and salts of such derivatives are prepared by acylating an amine of the general formula (II) using an ester (III) (x is halogen). <IMAGE>
