26.735. Cawdery, M. J. Nov. 17. Railways for recreation. - T h e vehicles used upon switchback railways and the like are lifted at the end of their run upon the rail A<1>, Fig. 1, by a counter balanced cantilever C which connects the rail A<1> to the upper rail A as shown. The vehicle used may be shaped like a horse &c. and provided with a front and rear frame carrying a wheel f<1>, Fig. 2, for the rail a and rollers f<2> for the rails a<2>, the front frame being pivoted as at f to the neck of the animal to allow it to take the curves of the track.
