Abstract
1307013 Froth floation INSTITUTUL DE CERERTARI MINIERE 9 March 1970 11245/70 Heading B2H In a method of dressing a complex leadcopper-zinc-pyrite ore, the ore is subjected first to selective flotation yielding a concentrate of copper directly from the ore and then to a collective flotation from which is obtained a collective concentrate of lead-zinc with a relatively low copper content (low enough to be worked metallurgically in a single stage) and a pyrite concentrate. The collective flotation may be achieved either by collective Pb-Zn-Py flotation with subsequent depressing of Py and Pb-Zn concentrate flotation, or by flotation of Pb-Zn concentrate and subsequent flotation of the Py concentrate. Collector reagents used include amyl, ethyl,. or butyl xanthogenate, copper sulphate and dithiophosphates. Depressants include sulphurous acid, potassium dichromate, zinc sulphate; starch, sodium silicate and sodium cyanide. Frothing agents mentioned are pine oil and phosphocresol. Two process examples are given.
