Abstract

1373285 Tube mills F L SMIDTH & CO AS 23 March 1973 [10 May 1972] 21884/72 Heading B2A A tube mill comprises at least one grinding chamber 14, Fig. 1, having a wear-resistant non-metallic lining 9 and lifters 13, divided by axially equidistant ring shaped annular partitions 10 which increase the lifting action. The partitions include apertures 12, Fig. 2, and may be of rubber or plastics like the lining, may each comprise a solid core surrounded and covered by resilient material, or may be entirely constructed of metal. The mill may include a dam ring 16, discharge chamber 15 and means (not shown) for returning grinding bodies to the grinding chamber 14.
