Abstract

1370885 Valves for dispensing from pressurized containers W G KEMPTON 1 Dec 1971 [1 Sept 1970] 41812/70 Heading B8N [Also in Divisions F1 and F2] A closure member for a valve for intermittently discharging metered quantities of fluid from a pressurized dispensing container comprises: a body 18 having a cavity 37 therein or an opening there-through; a support ring 40 seated on a shoulder 39 with the perimeter of its aperture overhanging the shoulder; and an elastomeric valve element 28, any selling of which can be accommodated in a part 38 of the cavity or opening. The body 18 has identical ends and is movable in a metering chamber 19 of the valve by an electromagnet 23 so as to alternately open and close an inlet 16, communicating with a pressurized dispenser (not shown), and an outlet 27.
