Abstract

1358498 Delivering measured quantities of liquids COSTER TECNOLOGIE SPECIALI SpA 18 July 1972 [27 July 1971] 33450/72 Heading B8N [Also in Division F1] A valve for a pressurized liquid dispensing container 3 comprises a body 1 having a radial bore 12 sealed by a flexible sleeve 13 so as to permit propellant gas to be introduced into the container via an outlet bore 7 in valve stem, chamber 8, bore 12 and passages 18 when the stem is urged against bias of spring 10 so that bore 7 communicates with the chamber. An annular member 16 mounted on the body, and a push fit in the neck of the container, defines with the body the passages 18. When used for dispensing, inversion of the container permits liquid to flow into the chamber 8 via grooves 11 in the valve stem, and forcing the stem against bias of the spring will enable pressurized liquid in the chamber 8 to be dispensed via the outlet bore 7.
