Abstract

136,702. Booty, S. S. Feb. 7, 1919. Contents, delivering.-In a receptacle for toilet powder &c., of the kind in which a supporting-device for a powder-puff &c. is pressed upwards by resilient means, the powder is held in a conical bag 5 normally distended by a coiled spring 4, the arrangement being such that movement of the puff support 9 agitates the powder in the bag. The bag 5 is fixed to the bottom of the receptacle by a disk 6 of cardboard &c. secured in place by adhesive. The spring 4 may be omitted, in which case either the material of the bag itself is resilient, or the support 9 is returned to its uppermost position by means of weights connected to tapes &c. The bag may be secured to the support 9 by a thread 12 engaging a circumferential groove 13 in the support.
