A hood for golf club bags is formed of a flexible waterproof material and the open end of the hood can be drawn over the open end of the bag so as to cover the heads of the clubs inserted therein. The hood has an opening or window extending across one side thereof through which the clubs can be withdrawn and is provided with a flexible waterproof flap or flaps bonded or otherwise secured in a waterproof manner to the hood above the opening or window and normally covering the opening or window. Eeither the hood or the flap may be transparent. The hood may be provided with an opening through which the shaft or spline of a caddie car can be inserted, the opening having means by which a water-tight seal is formed between the rim or edge of the opening and the shaft or spine. As shown in Figs. 1, 3 and 4. The hood 10 is formed of transparent or opaque P.V.C. or polyethylene and is of such dimensions that it can be slipped over the open end of the golf club bag 11 and will cover the heads 12 of the clubs 13 inserted in the bag. The open end 14 of the hood is reinforced to prevent its tearing and provided with a draw cord 15 or an elastic band by which the hood can be securely anchored to the bag. Somewhat below the top of the hood one face of the hood has a cut out window or opening 16 which extends across the heads 12 of the rows of the clubs 13. To the hood, just above the opening 16 is bonded at 19 a flexible waterproof flap 20 which more than covers the opening. The hood is further provided with an opening 21 through which extends the shaft or spine 22 of a caddie car. The opening 21 is provided with a neck 23 and a draw cord 24 or a resilient sealing member inserted in the neck 23.
