Abstract

1299390 Stainless steel alloys SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 21 April 1970 18997/70 Heading C7A [Also in Division B1] A watch case is formed of an age-hardenable steel of the following composition in per cent by weight Cr 6 - 22 Mo and optionally W 4 - 13 C 0 - 0À1 Si 0 - 2À5 Cu 0À35 - 3À0 Nb 0 - 0À3 optionally Ti and/or Be such that Ti alone is 0À1-4, Be alone is 0À05-2 and both together 0-4 optionally Co and/or Ni such that Co alone is 0À5- 12, Ni alone is 0-5 and both together 0À5-12 with Ni not exceeding 4. Fe and impurities the balance. The alloys may be hot rolled at 900-1050‹ C, heated to 1150-1200‹C and quenched in water. Agehardening may be effected at 570‹C for 7 hours.
