A humidifier of the type wherein watertransferring discs mounted on and rotatable with a shaft and partially immersed in a bath of water has a flange 33 by which it is mountable in an opening in a hot air duct 12 so that the upper portions into the hot air duct of the water bath is formed with side and bottom wall portions which slope downwardly to a drain opening 46 whereby deposits of lime can be removed. Preferably the water is supplied to the water bath from a chamber 70 isolated from direct contact with the hot air in duct 12.
