Abstract

1,191,672. Conveyer belt rollers. BINDER & CO. 30 June, 1967 [15 July, 1966], No. 30246/67. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F2] A bearing 2 of a conveyer belt roller is sealed by means comprising a sealing member 5 secured to the roller axle 1 and co-operating with a member 6 rotatable with the roller to form a labyrinth seal, the member 5 having an annular lip 5a which extends towards the roller end plate 3b and has a conical inner face 5b and the member 6 has an enlarged rim 6a projecting towards the face 5b. The sealing member 5 may be made of rubber and is a friction fit on the axle 1. The member 6 is a sheet metal ring and has extensions 6b and 6c projecting with clearance into annular slots 5c and 5d in the member 5.
