Abstract
1,178,790. Basically substituted oximes of dibenzodihydrocyclohepten-5-one. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 29 Nov., 1968 [4 Dec., 1967], No. 56729/68. Heading C2C. Novel compounds of formula and acid addition salts thereof wherein R is C 1 _ 6 alkyl and R 1 is H or C 2 -C 17 acyl which may be branched or unbranched, saturated or. unsaturated and which may contain aromatic or alicyclic rings and n is 2 or 3 are prepared by various methods for example a compound of formula is reacted with ethylene oxide optionally followed by acylation. Pharmaceutical compositions in conventional forms for oral, rectal or parenteral administration and having anti-depressant activity comprise an above novel compound or salt and a carrier or diluent.
